TS Galaxy moved to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after they trounced D’General 3-0 at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday afternoon.
The Free State amateur side held on until the half hour mark. And the Rockets broke the deadlock through Samir Nurkovic who headed in from Orebotse Mongae’s cross in the 33rd minute.
Midfielder Sphiwe Mahlangu increased the Rockets’ lead with a goal three minutes before the half-time break.
Five minutes into the second half, the Rockets netted their third goal after D’General goalkeeper Paseka Hlalele had sent the ball straight to Mlungisi Zwane, who scored on debut.
