Ntethelelo Nkosi is earmarked to defend his South African junior-welterweight title against Sanele Msimang in a fight, which is going to pit two KwaZulu-Natal boxers against each other.
Nkosi, who is trained by Damien Durandt in Johannesburg, will be squaring up against Msimang in his first SA title defence in June.
“Yes, he is going to defend against Sanele. I have already spoken to Sanele’s promoter and discussed the fight. This fight is going to take place towards the end of June,” Durandt revealed.
Nkosi won the national title after he stopped then champion Prince Dlomo in the ninth round during their fight in November last year. Dlomo from Pietermaritzburg was attempting to defend the SA title for the fifth time.
