Nkululeko ‘Bulldog’ Mhlongo is expected to make corrections when he faces John Bopape at the Dr Molemela Sport Centre in Bloemfontein on Friday, 29 April.
Mhlongo will be defending his South African middleweight title when he collides with Bopape from Alexandra, Johannesburg.
Bopape shocked Mhlongo with a split decision win when they fought in a 10 rounds bout in Durban last year. As a result, Bopape became the only South African boxer to defeat Mhlongo since 2010.
Mhlongo from Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal lost to former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) lightweight, International Boxing Federation (IBF) and IBO welterweight champion Isaac Hlatshwayo in October 2010.
Meanwhile, Matshidiso Mokebisi from Kroonstad clashes with Zimbabwean Cicilia Pitiseni in a female bout.
