Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that Mduduzi Shabalala flew out of South Africa on Monday evening for trials in Belgium.
Shabalala has gone to try his luck at KVC Westerlo, a club in the B Division of the Belgian Jupiler League. He impressed the Belgians with his massive contribution in the Chiefs reserve team this season.
Shabalala also took part in the DStv Compact Cup earlier this year after being voted for by the fans. He’s going to spend two weeks in Belgium before returning to South Africa.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Bontle Molefe will follow Shabalala later and is expected to leave the country for Belgium on Thursday for a one-month trial at Royal Antwerp.
