Mamelodi Sundowns star striker Peter Shalulile made history by becoming the first player to score more than 19 goals since the 2011/12 season.

Shalulile broke Siyabonga Nomvete’s 20 goals record after he scored a hattrick during the Brazilians’ 6-0 humiliation of Lamontville Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon.

The Namibian, who netted back-to-back hattricks, has now bagged 21 goals after scoring in the 24th, 27th and 63rd minutes against Abafana Bes’thende. Sundowns’ other goals came from Gaston Sirino in the 19 minute, Pavol Safranko in the 74th minute and Kermit Erasmus five minutes from full-time.

Meanwhile, the unstoppable and cruising Tshwane giants have collected 57 points after winning 17 matches, drawing six and losing two times.
