Netherlands proved too good for Banyana Banyana as they beat them 5-1 in an international friendly match in the Hague on Tuesday evening.
The Dutch probed and scored their first goal as early as the 12th minute when Jackie Gronen beat Banyana goalkeeper Andile Dlamini.
Coach Desiree Ellis’ side pressed forward in search of an equaliser and their efforts were rewarded when they equalised through Thembi Kgatlana in the 25th minute.
Five minutes later, the Dutch restored their lead through Lineth Beerensteyn and Vivianne Miedema increased their lead in the 39th minute.
Second half substitute Damaris Egurrola scored twice for the home side in the 76th minute and in added time to make the final score 5-1.
