Lamontville Golden Arrows compounded Kaizer Chiefs’ problems when they beat them 2-1 in a DStv Premiership match at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban, on Wednesday afternoon.
Amakhosi scored first after Khama Billiat broke the deadlock in the 18th minute. Billiat was put through by Leonardo Castro, who had received a pass from Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
Abafana Bes’thende started the second half with more purpose and they equalised on the hour mark when Siboniso Conco, who had replaced Sbonelo Cele in the 35th minute, netted following Njabulo Ngcobo’s blunder.
Michael Gumede scored his sixth goal of the season when he headed in from Nduduzo Sibiya’s cross in the 87th minute to give Arrows the win and handed Amakhosi their third straight loss.
