After failing to scale the heights they reached at the end of the 2020/21 season this past term, AmaZulu have decided to release more than 10 players.

Neil Boshoff, Tapelo Xoki, Xola Mlambo, Philani Zulu, Limbikani Mzava, Tsepo Masilela, Kgotso Moleko, Pule Ekstein, Abraham Majok, Thabo Qalinge, Siphelele Mthembu, Andre de Long, Augustine Mulenga and Siyethemba Sithebe have all been cleared to leave Usuthu.

Xoki is on his way to join Orlando Pirates and Sithebe signed a precontract with Kaizer Chiefs in January this year. Actually, Sithebe was sidelined and never featured for Usuthu after signing a precontract with Amakhosi.

Former Pilates midfielder Memela’s release will come as a surprise as he did well for the team this past season.

Usuthu have, in the process, signed Veluyeke Zulu from Chippa United, TS Galaxy’s Augustine Kwem and Gabadinho Mhango from Pirates.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Vasili Manousakis and goalkeeper coach Moeneeb Josephs have left the Durban club.
