Maritzburg United captain Clayton Daniels is among the eight players that have been shown the door by the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands club.
The Team of Choice annouced in Friday morning that they had released Daniels, Tato Lesoma, Ryan Rae, Lucky Baloyi, Phumlani Ntshangase, Riyaaz Ismail, Nazeer Allie and Steven Pereira.
The 37-year-old Daniels, who also played for SuperSport United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town, was a constant feature at the Team of Choice last season.
