Suspended Boxing South Africa (BSA) chief financial officer Thabang Moses has thrown in the towel and resigned from the organisation.

Moses had been on suspension since February this year for allegedly withdrawing R14 000 from TK Boxing Promotions boss Tshele Kometsi’s bank card, which was allegedly kept for use at the BSA offices in Hatfield, Pretoria.

A four minutes and 48 seconds voice note, which made rounds last September, suggested that after the withdrawal was made, the money was lying around at the BSA offices.

Ink Sport has been informed that Moses resigned from BSA last month and that his resignation was communicated to the board by its chairperson Luthando Jack.

“I can confirm that he left BSA in May. That’s all I can say,” acting BSA chief executive officer Nsikayezwe Sithole said.

Efforts to get a comment from Moses failed as his phone was consistently off.
