Hard-hitting Lwandile Ngxeke showed Lindile Tshemese no mercy as he pummelled him with vicious blows before stopping him at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) on Saturday evening.

Defending his South African junior-bantamweight title for the first time since stopping Athenkosi Dumezweni at the Sun City Superbowl in Rustenburg in April, Ngxeke walked through Tshemese’s blows and punished him with every blow he landed.

It was then no wonder that Tshemese’s corner advised him against entering the ring at the beginning of the fourth round.

The loss means that Tshemese failed in his bid to reclaim the title he once held after defeating Sithembiso Faye in March 2016. He defended the title twice against Thembelani Maphuma and Dumezweni before losing the title to Yanga Sigqibo in September 2017.
