A merciless Botswana trounced Burundi 4-2 in a Group C in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament on Monday evening.

Botswana led 1-0 at half time through Keitumetse Dithebe’s goal scored before the break. Refilwe Tholakele netted a brace with the other goal coming from Lesego Radiokanyo.  

Sandrine Niyonkuru scored a brace – a goal in each half – for the Burundians.

Botswana face the Nigerian Super Falcons in their next match on Thursday. On the other hand, Burundi are going to play against Banyana Banyana on the same day.
