Eastern Cape club Chippa United announced on Friday that they have decided to put their interim coach Kurt Lentjies on special leave.
The Gqeberha-based club, however, didn’t divulge much on what exactly happened before they took the decision against their former midfielder.
Lentjies was given the task of guiding the Chilli Boys after their former coach Gavin Hunt, who is back at SuperSport United, was suspended and later fired for failing to produce results.
Mitchell’s Plain-born Lentjies guided the Eastern Cape side to safety with one game to go before the end of last season.
