Five-time winners Zambia are going to clash against Namibia in the Cosafa Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday.
Chipolopolo defeated Senegal 4-3 while Namibia edged out Mozambique 1-0 in the semi-finals.
Namibia will now be seeking to add to their single regional crown which was earned in 2015 as they come up against a Zambian side looking to join Zimbabwe on the all-time record of six tournament wins.
Zambia eliminated the Teranga Lions as Kelvin Kampamba scored two beautiful goals, one a long-range effort in the first half and the other a deft touch into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
Spencer Sautu and Ricky Banda scored the other goals for Chipolopolo while Lamine Camara, Jean Diouf and Moussa Ndiaye netted for the Senegalese.
Namibia’s only goal in their tussle against the Mambas was scored by Bethuel Muzeu after only six minutes as they held on for the win and reached their third Cosafa Cup final.
Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana face Botswana’s Zebras in the plate final.
Bafana beat Madagascar 2-1 in the semi-finals through goals by Keletso Sifama and Chumani Butsaka scoring while Koloina Razafindranaivo scored for the islanders.
