Orlando Pirates have named their defender Innocent Maela as the club’s new captain following Happy Jele’s departure earlier this month.
Emalahleni-born Maela has been a loyal servant at the Buccaneers since joining them from Thanda Royal Zulu in 2017.
The 29-year-old Maela is going to be deputised by Ghanaian-born goalkeeper Richard Ofori.
