Royal AM won this year’s edition of the KZN Premier’s Cup after they defeated AmaZulu 1-0 in the final played at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday evening.
Thwihli Thwahla captain Samuel Manganyi put his team ahead when he broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time. Usuthu equalised through Augustine Kwem, who joined them from TS Galaxy, in the 70th minute.
A late penalty, which was converted by former Swallows FC forward Ruzaigh Gamildien three minutes from time, ensured victory for Thwihli Thwahla.
