Proteas coach Mark Boucher is going to leave the South African senior national cricket team after the T20 World Cup tournament.
The 45-year-old coach’s impending departure from the Proteas set-up was announced by Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday.
East London-born Boucher started as Proteas coach in December 2019 and led them to 11 Test victories including a 2-1 series win over India this year.
The Proteas, who lost 2-1 to England in a three-match series on Monday, are now second on the ICC World Test Championship table.
Meanwhile, the Proteas are in the same group together with Bangladesh, India an Pakistan in the T20 World Cup tournament, which starts on 16 October until 13 November.
