Award-winning boxing trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan is relieved that former world champion Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler is returning to action after more than two years of inactivity.
Former International Boxing Organisation (IBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA) junior-flyweight champion Budler, who last fought when he lost to Japanese boxer Hiroto Kyoguchi in December 2018, is going to face Muhsin Kizota from Tanzania at the Graceland Casino in Secunda, Mpumalanga, on Saturday, 20 March.
“I’m definitely happy. With the COVID situation I’m happy things are back on track now,” Nathan said.
This fight is going to be used to shake off ring rust by Budler, who once held the IBO and WBA minimumweight titles.
Kizota from Dar-Es-Salaam lost to Siphamandla Baleni the last time he visited South Africa in December 2019. A year earlier, Kizota lost to super talented knockout specialist Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga.
