Marumo Gallants coach Daniel Malesela has described their match against TS Galaxy as a tough encounter after they registered their first win of the season on Tuesday evening.
Gallants defeated the Rockets 1-0 away at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
“Very tough against a team that really gave us a run for money. Very difficult team to play against. I’m not sure how many teams are gonna come here and survive,” Malesela, who was in charge of his first match since he returned to Gallants, said.
“At some stage they caused us to defend very deep in our own half. But sometimes also if you hadn’t won for quite some time this will happen. Obviously, the players will panic.”
This was a very important win for Gallants as it moved them from the bottom of the Premiership standings to 14th place with nine points from one victory, six draws and two losses
“I’m happy with the discipline of the players. I’m happy with the workrate they put in. We can only move forward from here,” Malesela remarked.
