World title hopeful Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini and his handlers are going to leave South Africa for Liverpool on Wednesday next week.

This was confirmed by Dlamini’s handler Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan, who is the chief trainer at Hot Box Gym where the boxer trains.

Dlamini is scheduled to fight against James ‘Jazza’ Dickens in a vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight title contest in Liverpool on Saturday next week.

Welkom-born Dlamini is on a seven-year winning streak having last lost to Michael Mokoena in July 2015. Actually, that’s the Johannesburg-based Dlamini’s only career loss against 18 wins where he managed to stop 10 of his victims.

Dlamini has done very well in his last five fights stopping four of his opponents. Jelbirt Gomera from the Philippines was his latest victim having stopped him in the fourth round in Bloemfontein last Friday.

The IBO featherweight belt is familiar in South Africa being the same title that was once held by current SA lightweight champion Lusanda ‘Mexican’ Komanisi and Simphiwe ‘V12’ Vetyeka.

Meanwhile, Dlamini will leave SA together with Nathan, Bernie Pailman and Shannon Strydom.
