It was more like a leisurely walk for Mamelodi Sundowns as they thumped La Passe FC from Seychelles 7-0 in a CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Sunday.

The 2016 African champions scored five goals in the first 45 minutes of this encounter.

Grant Kekana’s headed goal in the first minute gave the Tshwane giants the lead. It didn’t take long before Gaston Sirino made it 2-0 in the 13th minute.

Seven minutes later, Hiroy Jupitor scored an own goal to give the Brazilians a 3-0 lead. Aubrey Modiba’s scorcher in the 40th minute made it 4-0.

Sirino completed his brace a minute before the half-time break to give Sundowns a 5-0 lead at interval.

The Brazilians began the second half with the same purpose they had in the first stanza. They scored their sixth goal through Sipho Mbule in the 59th minute.

Sphelele Mkhulise put the final nail into the La Passe coffin three minutes before full-time making it 7-0.
