Former South African junior-flyweight champion Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha will have a public workout at the Mdantsane Community Hall, NU 7, on Friday.
Tyirha will be giving boxing followers a glimpse of what to expect when he fights against Orlie Silvestre from the Philippines.
This vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental junior-flyweight title fight between the two boxers is scheduled for the Orient Theatre in East London on Sunday, 30 October.
This is the same bill where current SA super-middleweight champion Asemahle Wellem will clash with Zimbabwean Tinashe Zihove in an eight-round bout while Lubabalo Bokuva from Mdantsane is going to face off with Mthatha’s Siseko Makeleni in the vacant Eastern Cape lightweight contest.
