Morgan Mammila has remained modest despite pulling Chippa United out of the quagmire and led them to four straight victories.

The impressive Chilli Boys continued with their good run when they beat Sekhukhune United 1-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Tuesday evening.

The Chilli Boys’ important goal was scored by Nigerian Etiosa Ighodaro in the 27th minute to take the Eastern Cape club to a record four successive wins.

Before Tuesday’s match against Babina Noko, the Chilli Boys had beaten Kaizer Chiefs, Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu.

“Four wins in a row, it means a lot to the players, they worked hard for it under difficult circumstances where the team was lying bottom. But they were strong enough mentality wise,” Mammila remarked.

“It was a scrappy game because of how Sekhukhune were playing. They were just throwing things up there with long balls. We had to deal with the first ball and second ball. Our players had to cope with high balls. I think now it’s that time to go back home, relax, recharge and look forward to the next game.”

Meanwhile, the Chilli Boys are going to face Cape Town City away at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday next week.
