Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has a feeling of satisfaction after the Brazilians scored eight unanswered goals in the two matches they played in Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
This came after Sundowns clobbered Royal AM 3 -0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Chatsworth Stadium, Durban, on Saturday evening with goals from Neo Maema, Cassius Mailula and Surprise Ralani.
The win over Thwihli Thwahla came a few days after the Brazilians humiliated Maritzburg United 5-0 at the Harry Gwala Stadium midweek.
“We worked extremely hard. First half not so good. They were sharp and very aggressive. We had to match that. Difficult first half. We fought very hard for the badge. We did the best we could,” Mokwena said.
Meanwhile, Thwihli Thwahla co-coach Khabonina Zondo believes mistakes cost them the match.
“You look at goals they scored against us, it’s mistakes from us,” the former Lamontville Golden Arrows and Tembisa Classic coach said.
