Incessant rain, which pelted throughout the day, resulted on play being called off without a single ball bowled on the third day of the third Test between Australia and the Proteas at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
Australia opening batsman Usman Khawaja, who’s five runs short of a double century, and Matthew Renshaw were going to resume batting.
At stumps on day two on Thursday, Australia were 475 for four in 131 overs with Khawaja on 195 after he faced 368 deliveries and Renshaw was on five runs from 11 balls.
