France legend Didier Deschamps is going to remain as Les Bleus head coach after his contract was extended until 2026.

Deschamps has been in charge of Les Bleus since 2012. He won the 2000 Euro championship and the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia and he was runner-up in Qatar last year.

Born in Bayonne, France, 54 years ago, Deschamps won the 1998 FIFA World Cup trophy as a player on home soil. He played as a defensive midfielder for Valencia, Chelsea, Juventus, Bordeaux, Marseille and Nantes.
