Ayanda Ndulani’s World Boxing Council (WBC) minimumweight elimination bout against Mexican Luis Castillo is a done deal even though his promoter Ayanda Matiti from Xaba Promotions said otherwise.

Ndulani is going to face the Mexican southpaw following an order from the WBC in November that the two boxers must fight in an elimination bout to determine who will challenge reigning champion Panya Pradasbri also known as Petchmanee CP Freshmart from Thailand.

Ndulani and the unbeaten Mexican southpaw are going to clash here in South Africa. Durban’s Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) is going to host the fight on Saturday, 25 February.

“We are about to come to a conclusion. We are almost there. I don’t want to say where we are going to fight. We will make an announcement,” Matiti told Ink Sport

Ndulani, who is the reigning International Boxing Organisation (IBO) minimumweight champion, is rated number one in the current WBC ratings while Castillo is behind him.

Meanwhile, Ndulani from Scenery Park in East London comes from two back-to-back wins over Siphamandla Baleni in his IBO title defence.
