Champion Prince Dlomo gets an opportunity to steer himself towards becoming an outright owner of the South African junior-welterweight belt as he’s going to make the fourth defence of the title.
Pietermaritzburg-born Dlomo is scheduled to face off with Marcus Lebogo at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on Saturday, 25 February.
The two boxers were due to have fought in Durban last month, but their fight was called off on the 11th hour after the J4Joy Boxing Promotions tournament was cancelled.
Dlomo stopped Xolani Mgidi in the eighth round in his last fight, which was held at the Greyville Convention Centre on Durban in June.
Already, Dlomo has defended his national title three times since he dethroned Xolani Mcotheli in March 2021. He has beaten Siseko Makeleni, Mcotheli and Mgidi.
