It was a stalemate as Richards Bay FC and AmaZulu drew 1-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Sunday afternoon.
Midfielder Thabo Qalinge scored for Usuthu in the 33rd minute following an assist from Junior Sede Dion. Natal Rich Boyz captain Katlego Maphathe equalised in referee’s added time just as whistleman Thando Ndzandzeka was preparing to blow the final whistle.
Meanwhile, Chippa United moved from 10th to sixth place following a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
Nigerian-born striker Etiosa Ighodaro scored the only goal of the match in the 58th minute. This was Ighodaro’s seventh goal of the season.
