Substitutes Etiosa Ighodaro and Aviwe Mqokozo helped Chippa United come from behind to defeat Richards Bay FC 3-2 in a DStv Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Wednesday evening.
Two goals in a space of three minutes set the Natal Rich Boyz as Sakhile Hlongwa netted in the 22nd minute and Somila Ntsundwana doubled their lead in the 25th minute.
The Chilli Boys fought back and scored their first goal through Ighodaro a minute before the half-time break. Mqokozo netted twice in the 76th and 83rd minutes.
Meanwhile, AmaZulu and champions Mamelodi Sundowns drew 2-2 in another DStv Premiership tie at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.
A blunder by Rally Bwalya resulted in a loose ball being picked up by Gaston Sirino, who fed Bongani Zungu to give the Brazilians the lead in the 26th minute.
Namibian international and Sundowns goalpoacher Peter Shalulile scored his 12th goal of the season when he made it 2-0 in the 58th minute.
Usuthu didn’t give up despite being behind by two goals and they cut the deficit through Ramahlwe Mphahlele in the 66th minute. Junior Sede Dion ensured that Usuthu earned a point as he equalised six minutes before full-time.
