Young Africans will go to the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup with an advantage after they defeated Marumo Gallants 2-0 in the first leg played at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, on Wednesday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, the Tanzanians scored two goals in the last 45 minutes. They netted their first goal through Stephane Aziz Ki in the 65th minute.
Bernard Morrison, formerly with Orlando Pirates, put the final nail into the Gallants coffin when he scored his team’s second goal in referee’s added time.
Meanwhile, Gallants are going to welcome the Tanzanians at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Phokeng, Rustenburg, on Wednesday next week.
