Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are going to be the second South African team playing in the CAF Champions League next season.

This followed after the Buccaneers finished the season in second place as they humiliated AmaZulu 4-0 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon. The Buccaneers led 3-0 at half-time through goals by Thabiso Monyane, Relebohile Ratomo and Monnapule Saleng. Kabelo Dlamini added the fourth goal 10 minutes before full-time.

Meanwhile, Chippa United survived relegation on the last day of the Premiership programme as they drew goalless with Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
