The most anticipated news has finally been confirmed as Mamelodi Sundowns announced on Saturday that their midfielder Andile Jali is leaving the team, a month before the expiry of his contract.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder joined the Brazilians from Belgian side KV Oostende in 2018 and went on to win numerous trophies with the Tshwane giants.
“The contract between Mamelodi Sundowns and Andile Ernest Jali which was due to conclude at the end of the current season has been terminated by mutual consent,” a Sundowns statement said on Saturday.
The 33-year-old Jali from Matatiele in the Eastern Cape last donned the Sundowns jersey during the Brazilians’ Nedbank Cup match against Richards Bay FC in February this year.
