Leading Cape Town Spurs back to the Premier Division has been rewarding to their coach Shaun Bartlett as his contract has been extended for a further two years.
Bartlett guided the Urban Warriors back to the elite league after winning three times and drawing once during the PSL/Relegation play-offs. Spurs’ promotion was confirmed after a goalless draw with Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday last week.
The 50-year-old former Bafana Bafana, Bloemfontein Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs forward joined the Urban Warriors in October 2021 replacing Dylan Deane.
“We wish Shaun all the best for the new season,” an Urban Warriors statement said on Monday evening.
