Former Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates Oupa Manyisa has joined Chippa United until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Manyisa, who has an option to renew his contract, is available for selection when the Chilli Boys face Maritzburg United in a six pointer away on Saturday.
“I am elated to have a player of Oupa’s talent and experience joining us where he will play an integral role in this team as we head to the last stretch of the season with the league and the Nedbank Cup. We do have a tough schedule and we are aiming to finish strong in our remaining matches,” Chilli Boys coach Dan Malesela said.
Manyisa is happy to have joined the Chilli Boys and promises to work hard for the Gqeberha-based club.
“I’m pretty excited because it’s been a long time without playing. I’m happy because they welcomed me with warm hands,” Manyisa said.
Meanwhile, Sandile Mthethwa has returned to the Chilli Boys from a South African national Under-23 camp in Durban. Namibian Riaan Hanamub and Burundian Frederic Nsabiyumva are yet to return to Gqeberha after representing their respective countries during the recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
