Botswana’s Zebras had a winning start at this year’s COSAFA Cup tournament as they beat Sihlangu Semnikati of eSwatini 1-0 in the opening Group A match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Wednesday afternoon.
The only goal of the match came from Gaborone United defender Lebogang Ditsele. The 27-year-old Ditsele shot past Isihlangu goalkeeper Ncamiso Dlamini in the 23rd minute.
Sihlangu finished stronger as they played well in the second half looking for an equaliser, which unfortunately never came.
