The Flames of Malawi defeated Zambia’s Chipolopolo 1-0 in a 2023 COSAFA Cup Group B match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Thursday evening.
Chipolopolo defender Aaron Katebe’s own goal earned the Flames the maximum points in their opening match of the tournament.
