Bafana Bafana came from behind to beat Botswana’s Zebras 2-1 in a 2023 COSAFA Cup Group A match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoon. 

Three goals were scored in a space of four minutes as the Zebras took the lead through a well taken goal by Thatayaone Kgamanyane in the 63rd minute. 

Three minutes later, Bafana were awarded a penalty, which was converted by Iqraam Rayners. The Zebras were already minus one man by the time Rayners scored the penalty as Tebogo Kopelang had been red carded. 

Soon after they scored the equaliser, Bafana surged forward and were rewarded with Shaune Mogaila’s goal and a match winner in the 67th minute.

Meanwhile, Bafana have so far won once and drawn once with the Zebras having one win and a loss.
