It rained six goals as Zambia beat Seychelles 4-2 in a 2023 COSAFA Cup tournament match at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban, on Tuesday afternoon.

Albert Kangwanda opened the scoring for Chipolopolo with a left-footed strike from outside the box in the 11th minute. The Zambians led 1-0 at half-time.

Killian Kanguluma, Golden Mashata and Fredrick Mulambia netted Chipolopolo’s other goals in the second half. Zambia have now advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament having won twice and lost once.

The Islanders clawed their way back into the match with goals from Brandon Labrosse and Mellie Warren. However, it was a little too late for them to salvage a draw.

Meanwhile, Malawi defeated Comoros 2-0 in another COSAFA Cup match played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
