Boxing South Africa (BSA) has charged Soweto-based boxing trainer Charrit Mukondeleli with gross misconduct following an alleged Facebook comment.
Mukondeleli, who was one of the nominees in the Manager of the Year category at the South African Boxing Awards, has, however, maintained that he did nothing wrong.
“I have been summoned to appear before a BSA disciplinary hearing in Hatfield on the 16th of August. I have been charged with gross misconduct. They say I wrote something on Facebook on the fifth of July. I’m still shocked because I really don’t know what I have done as I checked my Facebook and I saw nothing,” Mukondeleli said.
Efforts to get a comment from BSA spokesperson Azwitamisi Nthangeni failed on Monday evening.
