Royal AM are Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup champions after they beat a 10-man AmaZulu 1-0 in the final played at the Prince Magosuthu Stadium in Ulundi on Saturday afternoon.
Sphiwe Cele netted the only goal of the game in the 24th minute while Usuthu were reduced to 10 men after Sphesihle Madiba was red carded in the 32nd minute.
Meanwhile, the two sides are going to play against each other in a 2023/24 season opener at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday next week.
