France are going to play against co-hosts Australia in the quarter-finals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup at the Brisbane Stadium on Saturday.

This followed after the French whipped Morocco 4-0 in a last-16 encounter at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide on Tuesday.

Kadidiatou Diani gave the French the lead after she headed home from Sakina Karchaoui’s cross in the 15th minute. This was Diani’s fourth goal in two matches.

Five minutes later, the French showed that they were not done yet as they added a second goal through Kenza Dali off Diani’s cross.

Eugenie le Sommer made it 3-0 in the 24th minute and she completed her brace with a header in the 70th minute from Vicki Becho’s cross.
