It’s clear now that there’s no turning back for South Africa’s most decorated boxer Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler after he made the required the weight at Sunday’s official weigh-in ahead of his fight against his Japanese opponent Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji.

Budler, who tipped the scales at 48,9 kilograms, will be out to dethrone World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ junior-flyweight champion Teraji (48,6kg) at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Monday.

“I’m good feeling, really ready, can’t wait. Fighting the best in the world,” the 35-year-old Budler said.

The WBC and WBA titles are not the only ones that are going to be at stake during Monday’s fight. The Ring Magazine belt is also going to be at stake.

Budler was successful the first and the last time he visited Japan more than three years ago. He beat Japanese Ryoichi Taguchi to win the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and WBA ‘Super’ junior-flyweight titles as well as the Ring Magazine belt at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo in May 2018.
