Lusanda ‘Mexican’ Komanisi is making a ring return after his South African lightweight title fight, which was against Khaya Busakwe, ended prematurely owing to a dislocated shoulder.

Mdantsane-born Komanisi is scheduled to clash against African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC lightweight champion Kaine Fourie at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park on Saturday, 25 November.

This is Komanisi’s first fight since he lost his SA title to current champion Busakwe from Soweto in East London in March this year.

There’s no doubt that the former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight, SA featherweight and lightweight champion will be hoping to bounce back with a win over Fourie, who is unbeaten in seven fights.

Fourie has won five times and drawn twice with his most recent win being a third round technical knockout victory over Zimbabwean boxer Lancelot Moyo in Turffontein in July.
