Just less than a month after he stopped Luthando Mbumbulwana in a South African junior-featherweight title defence at Vodaworld in Midrand, champion boxer Bongani ‘Wonderboy’ Mahlangu is getting to fight yet again.
The 44-year-old Mahlangu is pencilled to clash against Tanzanian boxer Fadhili Majiha at the PTA Karume Hall in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday, 28 October.
This going to be the Boipatong-born Mahlangu’s first visit to Tanzania since he lost to Tony Rashid Ngongo in an African Boxing Union (ABU) junior-featherweight title contest in February last year. That was a rematch of the September 2021 bout, which Mahlangu had won.
Mahlangu boasts a professional record of 26 victories (14 knockouts) and nine losses while his 30-year-old opponent has registered 31 wins (15 stoppages), 14 defeats and four draws.
Great news for Mahlangu.
