A broken trust has resulted in two-time South African champion Macbute Sinyabi being given his marching orders from the Tyamzashe Boxing Club in Mdantsane as Mshu One Boxing Management boss Andile Mshumpela let him go as the gym’s chief trainer.
Problems between Sinyabi and Mshumpela started shortly before Enathi Stelle was sensationally stopped in the first round by Phumelela ‘The Truth’ Cafu during a vacant South African junior-bantamweight title contest at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) last month.
“Yes, I’m not training boxers there anymore. I was accused of organising a meeting between Stelle and a certain promoter whom I’m not even in his good books. I didn’t argue with Bro Ace when he took the decision to release me,” Sinyabi said.
Meanwhile, Mshumpela has confirmed that he released the former South African junior-featherweight and featherweight champion leaving Lulama Mthoba and Luvuyo Tyamzashe training his boxers.
“It’s true that I have released Macbute after he went behind my back and organised or arranged a meeting between Stelle and a certain promoter whom I’m not in good terms with. The meeting never took place because Stelle felt a little discomfort about it. Macbute had overstepped his mark as a trainer. I had to release him because the trust was broken,” Mshumpela said.
