Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga and his adversary Adrian Curiel Dominguez have made the weight ahead of their International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title contest on Friday (Saturday morning, South African time).
The 25-year-old Nontshinga tipped the scales at 107.9 pounds (48.94 kilograms) and his opponent weighed 107.4 pounds (48.7kg) during a weigh-in held in Oaxaca on Thursday.
This rematch between Nontshinga and Dominguez is going to be held at the 11 175-seater Guelaguetza Auditorium, which is situated on a hillside above the city of Oaxaca.
Meanwhile, this is Nontshinga’s second visit to Mexico and he was triumphant the first time he visited the Central American country after he gave Mexican boxer Hector Flores his first career defeat as he won the IBF junior-flyweight title early in September 2022.
