Stellenbosch FC held SuperSport to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Friday evening.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori took the lead after Bradley Grobler’s header sailed past Stellies goalkeeper Sage Stephens to the back of the net for his seventh goal of the season following a cross from Shandre Campbell in the 22nd minute.
After trailing by an odd goal at the break, Stellies equalised through their top marksman Iqraam Rayners 11 minutes into the second half from Thabo Moloisane’s assist. That was Rayners’ sixth goal of the season.
