Playing for the first time at the Buffalo City Stadium following a migration to Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane more than six years ago, Chippa United drew 1-1 with a 10-man Cape Town City on Saturday afternoon.

The Citizens took the lead through Khanyisa Mayo in the 24th minute. This was the Mthatha-born striker’s eighth goal of the season.

It took the Chilli Boys only six minutes to get the equaliser through Namibian international Elmo Kambindu.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men after Relebogile Mokhouane was sent off for a second bookable following a foul on Craig Martin.

Meanwhile, Limpopo side Polokwane City defeated troubled Moroka Swallows 1-0 through Mokibelo Simon Ramabu’s 57th minute at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
