Log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates played to a 1-1 in a DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday evening.
There was no score after the first 45 minutes. However, things changed soon after Miguel Timm got red carded as the Brazilians piled more pressure on the Buccaneers and their efforts were rewarded with Marcelo Allende’s goal in the 74th minute.
Four minutes later, the Buccaneers equalised from the penalty spot through their skipper Tapelo Xoki. Bucs were awarded the penalty by match referee Thando Ndzandzeka after Sundowns defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil had fouled Xoki inside the box.
